Firefighters Helping Firefighters

Helping Brothers and Sisters in need!

Who Are We?

We are Firefighters Helping Firefighters, a 501(c)3, not for profit organization. Our mission is to aid and assist New Jersey's career and volunteer firefighters and their families, when they become sick, injured, or experience personal loss. We started Firefighters Helping Firefighters because WE CARE! When our brothers and sisters have no where to turn, we WILL be there for them.

How Can You Help?

We have partnered with the READ Foundation, a New Jersey based registered 501(c)3, not for profit organization, to generate much needed funds by participating in their textile recycling program. The READ Foundation's recycling fundraiser program provides local businesses and community leaders with an easy oppurtunity to help. All you have to do is provide or identify the space needed to place a 5x5, covered clothing bin, and then we will do the rest.

The READ Foundation monitors and empties the collection bins once per week and each collection bin is insured with $1,000,000 in liability insurance. The collection bins are routinely inspected to ensure that they are maintained in a safe and clean manner. You will be provided with a representative's contact number to address any issues that might arise.

HOW IT HELPS!

The clothes collected from the bins are recycled, sold and donated, reducing the volume of waste in landfills and keeping the dyes from polluting the ground water. The READ Foundation donates much needed funds to us on a per month, per collection bin basis. So the more Firefighters Helping Firefighters collection bins we have the more firefighters we can help.
